Squids have two gills, and an associated closed circulatory system formed by a systemic heart and two branchial hearts. Their muscular tentacles are equipped with suckers, and if they are pulled they can not grow back. Squids can camouflage themselves in the middle with great ease to avoid their predators. They also have cells called chromatophores in their skin that give the squid the quality to change color in case of feeling threatened, a strategy that combines with the expulsion of the ink that produce. Its shell is internal, unlike other similar animals, such as the octopus, which lack it; and is formed by a thin and flat piece attached to your body. They have an organ called a hyponomy, which allows them to move when expelling water under pressure. The mouth of the squid is equipped with a sharp beak, which it uses to kill and cut its prey into manageable pieces. Know more about this species and that of many more than they inhabit the Mexican Caribbean.
